That is a haunting question. It’s the feeling of looking at someone who should be "home," but realizing the lights are on and nobody is there. When you ask, "What replaced our place in your heart?" you’re naming the ghost that haunts the house, whether it’s an addiction, a career, or just a deep-seated selfishness. It’s the hurt of realizing that while you were waiting to be a priority, he was busy filling that space with something else. Naming that "void" is the first step to making sure you don't repeat that cycle in your own future relationships. You're learning what real presence looks like by identifying exactly what it isn't.
